Sunspots and Snow Showers – 20-12-09

Managed to get a view at 10.50 UT between heavy snow flurries. Seeing was typically awful for this time of year with a boiling surface and limb. I tried white light but conditions were too poor to resolve much. Cak imaging was altogether different though with plenty of detail popping out in the spots – narrowband is definitely better than white light in poor conditions. There are three areas of activity with 11035 right on the limb now and 11036 (?) showing a group of small pores, plus a smaller area of brightness between the two main AR’s. Ha PST/Cak B1200 diagonal/Vixen 115 at 100mm.
